As a UK musician coming over to the US to play a tour, the most challenging aspect is knowing what kind of gear you’re going to get. As a DW endorsee, they sent us to Capitol Percussion, and we hit the jackpot. Jauvon is perhaps the most professional equipment provider I’ve ever encountered (and I’m not just saying that, I mean it). The gear was impeccable, perfectly tuned, and in solid cases. During rehearsals, I needed to change a few items, and Jauvon had one of his chaps down on three separate occasions to make sure it was all taken care of. At the end of the tour, he even arranged for the gear to be picked up from the venue in New York City. The next time I’m back in the States on tour, there is only one person I’m going to be calling.
Capitol Percussion is the only way to go. The quality of the instruments, especially keyboard/mallet instruments, is excellent. The percussion is in pristine condition. All auxiliary items (mallets, stands, etc.) were great. Drums are available in all sizes and every brand. CP will meet all of your needs. You won’t be disappointed.
